Health Promotion Behaviors of Nursing Faculty Students At Tishreen University

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify health promotion behaviors among nursing students; these behaviors consist of six components (health responsibility, physical activity, nutrition, building interpersonal relationships, spiritual growth, and stress management). To achieve the aim of the research, the researcher used the questionnaire designed to measure health promotion behaviors after verifying its validity and reliability, and this research was conducted on 179 third-year students from the Faculty of Nursing at Tishreen University in Lattakia. The results of the research concluded that the majority of nursing students (73.2%) were their score was good in the overall health-promoting lifestyle II (HPLP-II), and (26.8%) they did poorly. In addition, most of the students (93.9%) had the highest scores in spiritual development, While (71.5%) of the sample members had a poor level in the field of physical activity.
