Time management and its relation to School degrees estimates in the subject of social studies "A field study on a sample of the sixth graders students in the city of Jableh"

Abstract

This research aimed to study the relation between time management and school degrees estimates in the subject of social studies, and the differences in time management and school degrees estimates in the subject of social studies according to gender variable.  The research sample consisted of (325) male and female students from the basic sixth class in the city of Jableh. The researcher used the descriptive method and a time management questionnaire consisting of (11) items was built, and the researcher asked about the school degrees estimates in the subject of social studies, those estimates ranged between (excellent = 5) and (needs improvement = 1); knowing that the records kept with the mentor were used to verify the validity of the students' answers regarding the question about the degrees estimates, as the presence of the mentor was an important factor when answering this question. The results showed that there is a statistically significant relation between time management and school degrees estimates in the subject of social studies, and that there is statistically significant difference between the study sample in time management according to gender variable in favor of females. In addition, the results also indicated a statistically significant difference between the study sample in school degrees estimates in the subject of social studies in favor of females.
