Theoretical trends that explain the terrorist personality

Abstract

Terrorism is a dangerous global phenomenon that has its roots in ancient times. It is a human behavior that has haunted humanity since its inception as a negative social phenomenon, whether in an individual or organized form.

Its danger has  in the modern era  its scope has increased, the number of its victims has increased, and it has benefited from scientific and  technical progress in carrying out its terrorist  attacks.

We cannot understand terrorism optimally without addressing the study of the terrorist personality, which is considered one of the most dangerous criminal figures, and which is characterized by its absolute belief in the correctness and justice of its terrorist acts, and this personality is not due to a single factor that contributed to its formation, but to a group of economic factors social, educational and political.

In this context, this study seeks to identify the concept of terrorism, and to identify the concept of the terrorist personality, in order to complicate the nature of this personality, and to identify the most important theories that explain this personality.
