The Reality of Strategic Planning in The Ministry of Education in The State of Kuwait from School Administrators ‘perspectives
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the reality of strategic planning in the Ministry of Education in the State of Kuwait from the point of view of public education school principals. The descriptive survey approach was used, and to achieve the objective of the study, a questionnaire was developed, The study sample consisted of (27) managers who were selected in a simple random way, and (205) managers were selected by a stratified sample method. The results of the study showed a blurry in the meanings of the concept of strategic planning followed by the Ministry of Education. While the degree of approval of the directors of the Schools about the clarity of the concept of strategic planning of the Ministry of Education are few for all concepts of it, as the five strategic planning concepts received a low degree. In addition, the degree of approval of school principals about the considerations that were followed when determining the vision and mission of the ministry was few. As well as the approval of school principals on the considerations that were followed when determining the objectives of strategic planning. Furthermore, the researcher gave many recommendations such as linking the strategic plan of the Ministry of Education to the educational policy and working to translate it into a procedural reality, and spreading the culture of planning among the people of the educational field through training programs and cultural seminars.
