Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of using the sixth learning strategy on the achievement of the basic tenth grade female students in Mathematics, and on their attitudes towards it. The study tries to answer the following questions: 1) what is the effect of using the sixth learning strategy on the achievement of the basic tenth grade female students in Mathematics? 2) What is the effect of using the sixth learning strategy on attitudes of the basic tenth grade female students towards Mathematics? The sample was consist of (80) students selected purposely, and distributed randomly into two groups, experimental group (40) students, and control group (40) students, to achieve the purpose of the study, two instruments were designed, achievement test, andattitudes scale. Their Validity and Reliability were verified. The findings indicated that there was a statistical significant differences at (α=0, 05) in the achievement test in favor of the experimental group, attributed to the teaching method. The study also showed a statistically significant difference at the level of (α=0, 05) trends in the tenth grade students, and in favor of the experimental group and due to the method of teaching. Based on the results, research recommends using the strategy, because of its positive impact in increasing achievement in Mathematics and the development of attitudes towards it.
