Abstract

Bullying is one of the patterns of physical and psychological violence which carries a clear message to our children that they are worthless and undesirable by other children who practice bullying against them if they do not fulfill their requests and acquiesce their opinions.
Thus, school is a fertile environment for practicing this behavior as it receives students from several community classes and sometimes different cultures.Consequently, this is directly reflected in the students' reactions.

The current research deals with an exploratory study on the phenomenon of bullying in schools, the extent of their prevalence, the role of sex as well as the place of residence in the high or low rate of bullying.Furthermore, to achieve the goals of the research, a measure of bullying behavior for children and adolescents was used by Dr. Majdi Mohammed Al-Desouki, in 2016, and applied to the sixth grade students in the governorate of Damascus countryside, Qudsaya suburb, the fourth Qudsaya suburb as a model, and the sample size was (70) singles.

According to the results of the study showed, according to the variables presented by the research, there is no statistic relationship between the gender variable and the rates of school bullying, or between the displaced and non-displaced children and the bullying rate at this level is (0,05). The statistical study was done according to the test (student).
