Therefore, many hydrological researchers applied experimental equations&nbsp; to estimate the peak flow values, as a basic parameter that plays a key role when establishing water projects in the absence of hydrological measurement stations. The modified experimental Talbot method TMT is one of the most famous of these equations, which was applied in this study to estimate the peak flow values in the Arab River basin using GIS software and building purpose maps (geomorphological coefficient, slope, shape, drainage …) and processed to obtain a map of the distribution of the estimated peak flow values, It was found that it ranged on average between (2.5 m3/s) with a return period (5 years) and a maximum of (30 m3/s) with a return period (100 years), The study also showed that the higher values of the estimated flow peak are concentrated in the recharge area in the Arab River Basin, while the lower values are concentrated in the drainage area, which reduces the possibility of flooding.</p> Dareen Bourjiah Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15780 Fri, 12 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Effect of the hydrothermal treatment and amount of structure directing agent on the surface properties for SBA-15 mesostructure https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15637 <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Six samples of SBA-15 mesostructure were prepared. As for the extraction process in batches, the results showed that it was not very effective, so it was better to extract in one batch to save effort and time.</p> <p>The value of the distribution coefficient and the transition ratio increased with the increase in the concentration of the lanthanium ion in the aqueous phase, and this behavior was expected due to the continuous interaction between the ions and the formazan. As for the effect of the presence of some positive ions competing for the lanthanium ion, the greatest effect was the triple chromium ion (Cr3+).</p> <p>In general, and through the results of the research, it is noted that the formazan reagent can be used effectively in the process of extracting ternary lanthanum from aqueous solutions, and later used in extracting it from real samples such as solutions resulting from phosphates and phosphogypsum</p> Ali Mohamed , Mohammad Ghafar, Maher Dais Copyright (c) 2023 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15624 Sun, 19 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Preparation and Characterization of high surface area material from natural Syrian zeolite TS-7 https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15547 <p>The porous silica Si- TS-7 has been prepared from Syrian natural zeolite TS-7. The mixtures (mixtures) were prepared in preparation for the tests in the viscometer Then study the viscous properties by determining the viscosity and viscous activation energy (E) at constant shear stress, constant shear rate and through Newton's index (n).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The real viscosity transformations were also studied in terms of the inverse of temperature to determine the activation energy at constant shear stresses and constant shear speed, as the activation energy is useful in determining the sensitivity of the polymer's viscosity to temperature change.</p> <p>The elastic properties of the studied mixtures were also studied using Barus technology, and it was found that the rate of swelling increases with the increase in shear stress, and it was found that there is no significant effect on the swelling coefficient B.</p> Hala Al-Kateb, Hassan Wassouf, Fawaz Al-Dairi Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15319 Fri, 12 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Quantum mechanical investigation of the Mechanism of Nickel-Catalyzed Cycloaddition Reaction of 3-azetidinone with Alkynes https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15263 <p>The reaction mechanism of the 3-azetidinone with nickel-catalyzed alkenes was studied using the function M06-2X with two basis sets: def2-TSVP and LANL2DZ for the nickel atom with two basis sets def2-SVP and 6-31G(d) for the main elements atoms. The computational results indicate that the reaction takes place through two independent pathways, one of which is linked by the coordination of 1-Boc-3-azetidinone on the Ni(0) center to form an intermediate state that includes the Ni–C(O) bond, then the insertion of the alkyne to the Ni–CO bond (pathway 1), As for pathway 2, it is related to the coordination of the 1-Boc-3-azetidinone on the Ni(0) center to form an intermediate state that includes the Ni–C(sp3) bond, and then the insertion of the alkyne to the Ni–C(sp3) bond. <br>Analysis of the global nucleophilic and electrophilic indices of the reagents indicates that the nickel complex shows a strong nucleophilic role, while the compound 3-azetidinone shows an electrophilic role, and that the reaction is polar in its nature. In addition, the local electrophilic and nucleophile indices of the reactants indicate that the nickel atom in the complex is the most nucleophilic center, while the carbon atom C(=O) in the compound 3-azetidinone is the most electrophilic center, and thus, pathway 1 More likely than Pathawy 2. The computational results of our studies are consistent with previous research with the exception that the mechanism proceeds through two independent pathways; That is, there are no common transitional or intermediate states in the two pathways, and this contradicts what was indicated in previous computer studies</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> ahmad sotal, Mohammad Abd Al-Hakim badawi Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15263 Tue, 23 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Study of the Antioxidant Activity of Azo Chalcone and Azoflavone Derivatives by DPPH and H2O2 Methods https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15260 <p>Flavonoids have good efficacy as antioxidants due to their ability to scavenge free radicals within cells. The antioxidant activity of azochalcone derivatives (B1-B3) &nbsp;and azoflavone derivatives (B4-B6) based on chalcone (<em>2E</em>)-3-[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]-1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one was studied by two methods: : Method of radical inhibition of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH<strong>.</strong>), method of inhibition of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and comparison with the effectiveness of two compounds ascorbic acid and quercetin as known antioxidants. The flavonoid derivatives (B1 - B6) were prepared in the laboratory in our previous study through condensation, cyclization, dialysis and coupling reactions, and the structural structures of the new compounds were determined using spectroscopic methods (13C-NMR, 1H-NMR, FT-IR). The inhibition ability of flavonoids was determined in four different concentrations (250, 500, 750, 1000 ppm) based on the concentrations of the compounds needed to reduce the absorption at 516 nm (DPPH<strong>.</strong>) and 230 nm (H2O2). The value of IC50 was estimated based on the curves of change in percentage inhibition percentages in terms of solution concentration. The results showed the effectiveness of compounds (B1, B2) as antioxidants.</p> Hadi Aqel Khdera, Sawsan Youseff Saad, Aoula Moustapha, Farouk Kandil Copyright (c) 2023 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15260 Tue, 12 Sep 2023 00:00:00 +0000 correlation between mechanical properties of garnet ferrite crystal Dy₃Fe₅O₁₂ with their IR Data https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15203 <p>This research aims to prepare samples of garnet ferrite Dy₃Fe₅O₁₂ doping with Ni – content (x=0.00;0.15; 0.25; 0.35; 0.45; 0.50) using the ceramic method. This extraction was done by organic ester-phosphorous ligands and amputated amines. To separate these ions from the residue, a small laboratory device was designed for separation in two stages: first, base dissolution to dissolve and deposite the vanadium oxide with an ammonized, amputated compound. Second, Sour dissolution of both oxide nickel and oxide vanadium and the extraction of their ions through selective phosphoric compounds, organic soil such as:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>1 - (C16H14PSNO3) O-(quinolin-8-yl) (o-tolyl) thio-hydrogen phosphate.</p> <p>.(O-(quinolin-8-yl) (o-tolyl) hydrogen phosphate&nbsp; &nbsp;(C16H14PNO4)- 2&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>O-phenyl O-(8-quinolin) thio hydrogen phosphate. &nbsp;&nbsp;3 - (C15H12PSNO3)</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Moein Nouaman, Faisal Ahmed Copyright (c) 2023 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.tishreen.edu.sy/index.php/bassnc/article/view/15045 Sat, 18 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000
