Analytical Study Of The Reality Of The Digital Economy In Arab Countries

Abstract

The digital economy is a new form of economic and social development. It is an advanced economic model based on the widespread use of information technology and the Internet in various aspects of economic and social activities, based on creativity, knowledge and technological development.

The research derives its importance from the fact that it highlights the importance of the digital economy, its applications and the important role it plays in achieving sustainable development. The research aims to study the concept, elements and characteristics of the digital economy and its impact on some macroeconomic variables, in addition to studying the reality of the digital economy in Arab countries.

The research reached several results, the most important of which is that there is a positive relationship between the digital economy and macroeconomic variables due to its positive effects on economic growth, as it leads to improving productivity, increasing production rates and creating new job opportunities. As for the digital economy in Arab countries, its success depends on the availability of basic digital infrastructure and the availability of qualified cadres, which requires the need for financing and more legislation.
