Psychological compatibility and its relationship to the social status of orphan children
Abstract
The research aims to identify psychological compatibility and its relationship to the social status of orphan children.
The study was conducted on a sample of orphan children (12 children),who are in Orphanage in Lattakia, their ages range from 7 to 11.
The research used the descriptive method, and the general psychological compatibility questionnaire, designed by Ijlal Muhammad Seri(1986), and to know the nature of the relationship between psychological compatibility and social status, we used arithmetic averages and standard deviations, Pearson correlation coefficient, Wilcoxon test, and Mann-Winley test. The results showed that there were no differences in the psychological compatibility of orphan children aged (7-11) years according to the marital status variable, and there is a weak non-significant inverse correlation between psychological compatibility and marital status (missing one or both parents).
