Women take leadership positions in sports management From the point of view of students of the Faculty of Physical Education at Tishreen University

Abstract

      The participation of women in sports activity is a manifestation of civilized progress in all societies, and the entry of women into some leadership positions in sports constituted an important achievement, and standing on the students’ acceptance of the idea of female leadership in the sports field contributes in one way and another to the development of sports awareness programs and the development of strategies aimed at building Preparing female leaders to invest their energies and talents in which they are distinguished, and this study aimed to identify the viewpoint of students of the Faculty of Physical Education on women’s assumption of sports leadership positions, and to identify the differences in the students’ viewpoint according to the variables (gender - school year), the researcher used the approach Descriptive survey method on a sample of (100) male and female students who were chosen randomly, distributed over the academic years, where the number of first-year students was (26), the number of second-year students was (26), the number of third-year students was (22) and the number of students of the second year The fourth is (26), and the number of males was (46), while the number of females was (54), with a percentage of (19.08%) of the research community, through a questionnaire designed by the researcher, and the study concluded that the viewpoint of the students of the Faculty of Physical Education in taking Women have positive sports leadership positions, and their point of view differs according to the variable of sex and in favor of females, and their point of view differs according to the variable of the school year and in favor of the fourth year students.
