Abstract

يقع الكتاب في 432 صفحة من القطع الكبير، ومكتوب باللغة الإنكليزية السهلة، وهو من تأليف الدكتور Wallace Peters والدكتور Geoffery Pasvol. وقد صدر الكتاب بطبعته السادسة في العام 2007 علماً بأنه طبع للمرة الأولى في العام 1995، وهو مسجل في المكتبة البريطانية. تضمن الكتاب مقدمة عامة ومعجم المصطلحات وعرفان بالشكر للعديد من المختصين وBibliography وشبكة توزع العوامل الممرضة وانتقالها في العالم، يبين فيها مصدر تلك العوامل الممرضة ومساراتها عالمياً. وأورَدَ المؤلفان كل ما هو ضروري من صور ملونة عن العامل الممرض ومراحل تطوره ومكان تطفله والعوائل الخازنة والوسيطة، وانتشاره جغرافياً والأمراض التي يسببها، وقد بلغ عدد هذه الصور التوضيحية 1120 صورة، إضافةً إلى قائمة تفصيلية بجداول الكتاب الستة والعشرين. شمل الكتاب عدة فصول
