Abstract

The study aimed to investigate strategies for facing the adversarial and compulsive pressures of a sample of displaced Syrian mothers to Lattakia governorate, and to study the differences in these strategies according to variables: the presence and absence of children, the number of years of displacement: months, years, to test the study hypotheses, relying on the scale of stress strategies for the doctor Laila Sharif, which is composed of 37 words distributed among three alternatives to answer, was applied to a sample consisting of (50) mother of private places residents (houses - shops).

The results of the study showed that the predominant strategy to face pressure is the forward strategy. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences in the strategies of progressive confrontation according to the variable of the presence of children and the lack thereof in favor of the presence of children, and also there are differences according to the variable number of years of displacement in favor of the years, as the results showed that there were no differences in the strategy of arbitrary mothers.
