Abstract

The main objective of the presented study is to shed light on a very important ethical phenomenon, as it is a scientific responsibility that falls on the shoulders of every researcher, and it is also a tool for inferring the quality and originality of scientific research.

This study deals with the legal nature of copyright and its financial and moral rights, the duration of its protection, as well as the forms of infringement upon it, and the means of protecting it. The study also touched on the phenomenon of scientific honesty, in terms of practices violating it, focusing on the factors that motivate its violation, and clarifying the relationship of copyright with scientific honesty.

To accomplish this study, the descriptive analytical method was used, as it is commensurate with the nature of the information to be obtained. As it enables us to arrive at an accurate analysis and description of the phenomenon of scientific honesty.

The study came up with a set of conclusions and recommendations that can contribute to the consolidation of the phenomenon of scientific honesty and copyright preservation.
