The Degree to Which Teachers of the First Cycle of Basic Education Practice Classroom Management Strategies and Their Relationship to Some Variables A Field Study in the City of Lattakia
Abstract
The goal of the research is to introduce the degree of practicing teachers of the first episode of basic education in the city of Latakia for class management strategies, and to study whether there are statistically significant differences between the average degrees of teachers of the first episode of basic education in Latakia for the class management strategies according to variables (sex, the number of years of experience, educational qualification).
The research adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and the research community included all the teachers of the first cycle of basic education in the city of Lattakia, whose number was (2225) male and female teachers, and a simple random sample was drawn by (15%) from the original community, so that the number of its members reached (334). male and female teachers, where the researcher distributed the questionnaire, the research tool, to them, and (311) complete questionnaires were retrieved and valid for statistical analysis.
The results of the research showed that the degree of practice of classroom management strategies among the sample members of the first cycle of basic education teachers in Lattakia was high. The simple intervention strategy came in the first place, followed by the moderate intervention strategy in the second place, and in the last place the broader intervention strategy.
There is no effect of the gender variable on the degree of practicing the classroom management strategies of the first-cycle teachers in the city of Lattakia.
There is an effect of the variables of years of experience and educational qualification on the degree of practice of classroom management strategies by the sample members of the first cycle teachers of basic education in Lattakia city in favor of the advanced years of experience and those who hold educational qualifications.
