Abstract

This research consists of two main parts, the first of which traces the facts or processes of the Arab tribes’ entry into Islam in general on the basis of “they converted to Islam and they are safe,” then their exit from it when they were able to do so, then their return to it when they were forced to follow the rule of their entry into it before. The basis of the second of them is to trace the events of the entry of the “Asad” tribe into Islam under the leadership of Taliha al-Asadi, who personally led its revolution against the Islam that brought it into it, and his joining - after that - his tribe that had been returned to Islam before him, forced on the basis of its entry into it before; The rule of “convert to Islam and you will be safe”. The first part of this research served as a prelude to the second part of it, represented by shedding light on the biography of a scholar from the tribe of “Asad” who achieved such fame and fame that he became the talk of the decision-makers in the Islamic State, at a pivotal stage in its history, represented by the period of the Prophet’s illness, which He died there, and authority was transferred to Abu Bakr, which led to the Arab tribes declaring their rebellion against the Prophetic state, which imposed on Asad and her fellow Arab tribes the payment of what was called the zakat obligation on their money in favor of what these tribes considered a Quraysh state, not an Arab Islamic state.

Since Tuliha bin Khuwaylid al-Asadi was one of the most prominent leaders of this rebellion, we sought in this research to identify his motivations for the rebellion first, then his moral and material qualifications that enabled him to lead a disobedience movement that received broad support from many Arab tribes. At its head is the Asad tribe. We came - after that - to mention the facts or the course of this disobedience, accompanied by those facts with what indicated the qualities that qualified Taliha to lead this revolutionary movement, which was aware of the interests of the opposition tribes, according to the terminology of the era, and expressed them clearly and without ambiguity or flattery, as he did. An attempt by the Quraysh Among all the tribes, investing in religion, so it was proven that their eagerness and insistence on collecting zakat from other tribes was nothing but a robbery of the funds of these tribes.

As for Tulaiha’s qualifications to lead the rebellion movement against the Prophet’s state, we have mentioned what confirms this man’s courage, composure, and skill that was refined by the battles and wars he fought in many stages of his life. We have also mentioned what confirms his moral qualifications. Represented by his poetry and eloquence He captivated the hearts of his listeners with it, so they did not hesitate to honor and venerate him to the point of elevating his status to the ranks of saints. Rather, it was the prophets whom God had honored with penetrating, penetrating insight that showed him far beyond what others saw, and enabled him to anticipate some of what was coming. Some of them included him among the prophets whom God had bestowed wisdom on. A sound opinion and the ability to say what cannot be said - from the point of view of its followers - by an ordinary person. Which made these followers not hesitate to call Taliha a prophet to whom revelation was given.
