Abstract

The development of government health services is a series of planned operations that seek to achieve goals and lead to interaction and optimal utilization of available energies and capabilities. Human resources are the most important element to reach the desired goals and objectives, and the role of women must be essential and pivotal, and their importance lies in their influential role in raising the efficiency of health institutions. All this is achieved if it is good to attract and select distinguished, qualified and trained competencies, and then carefully plan for them, pay attention to them, maintain them, and develop them. The study aimed to identify the contribution of women in hospitals in Latakia Governorate, and the role of planning and attracting working women in improving the reality of health services provided in hospitals in Latakia Governorate. The research adopted the descriptive analytical approach, 385 questionnaires were distributed, 377 questionnaires were retrieved, 7 questionnaires were rejected for incomplete answers, and the final number subject to analysis reached 370, exponential was used to reach recommendations, the most important of which are: determining the need for employment by sex in each hospital, relying on modern measures in evaluating the performance of female workers in the health services sector.
