The impact of parental treatment on the independence of visually impaired children " A field study on a sample of kindergarten children age (5-6) years in Damascus"

Abstract

 This current research aims to identify the impact of parental treatment on the independence of children with disabilities visually in the stage of kindergarten, and be the research community of children enrolled in special education center for the rehabilitation of the blind in the province of Damascus and their number has reached (25) boys and girls, and the sample amounted to (15) boys and girls, as well as the parents of the research sample, the researcher used list to monitor the independence and questionnaire parental treatment measure directed the child's parents, and use descriptive methods as to appropriateness to the nature of the search, and brought the search results as follows: (1) there is a positive correlation between democratic parental style and independence of the child visually impaired relationship at the stage of kindergartenn , or whenever the parent style democratically greater the independence of the child visually impaired at the stage of kindergarten (2) there is no correlation between parental method easygoing and independence of the child visually impaired at the stage of kindergarten, that whenever parents style lenient whenever the independence of the disabled child visually fell in phase kindergarten relationship (3) No relationship correlation between parental authoritarian and independence of the disabled child visually method at the stage of kindergarten, or whenever the parent style ruler whenever the independence of the disabled child visually fell in phase kindergartenn (4) There are significant differences between the average fathers and mothers in the parental democrat in favor of fathers, and regarding the method parental easygoing were differences in averages favor of mothers, while regarding parental method ruler was the result no differences (5) statistically significant difference do not exist in the independence of visually impaired children at the stage of kindergarten depending on the variable sex (male, female) (6) There are significant differences in the independence of visually impaired children according to the educational level of the parents for the benefit level (university).
