The Effectiveness of Using the Climbing Plateau Strategy on Acquiring Geometric Mathematical Concepts and Reducing Math Anxiety among Tenth Grade Students in Jordan

This study aimed to verify the effectiveness of using the climbing plateau strategy on acquiring geometric mathematical concepts and reducing math anxiety among tenth grade students in Jordan, the study used a quasi-experimental design. The personnel of this study consisted of (64) tenth grade students in mathematics, distributed into two groups in a random manner, One is experimental which studied according to the Climbing Plateau Strategy and the other is control which studied according to the usual method, every one contains (32) students in each group, the researcher in this study used two study tools, one in the form of a test to measure acquiring geometric mathematical concepts, and the other in the form of a questionnaire to measure mathematics anxiety. After verifying their validity and reliability. The results of this study indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group on the measure of acquiring geometric mathematical concepts test, in favor of the experimental group, and the results also showed there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group In the mathematics anxiety questionnaire scale, in favor of the experimental group. And the study recommended to use the Climbing Plateau Strategy in teaching mathematics, because of considered one of the modern teaching strategies, and it is effective in acquiring mathematical Geometric concepts and reducing mathematics anxiety among students.
