تأثير الأشعة فوق البنفسجية على النمو وأصبغة التركيب الضوئي والمحتوى البروتيني لدى الطحالب الخضراء المزرقة أنابينا Anabaena sp.
Abstract
تساهم الطحالب الخضراء المزرقة (البكتيريا الخضراء المزرقة) أنابينا ِAnabaena sp. بتثبيت قسط كبير من النتروجين الجوي الغازي وتحويله إلى الأمونيوم (NH4) الذي يدخل في تصنيع البروتين ضمن السلسلة الغذائيةFood chain . لقد تم عزل هذه الطحالب من بعض المستنقعات الضحلة القريبة من مدينة أبها في السعودية، وجرى دراسة أثر الأشعة فوق البنفسجية من نمط (UV-B: 280 – 315nm) على النمو وأصبغة التركيب الضوئي والمحتوى البروتيني لدى هذه الطحالب. وقد أشارت نتائج قياس معدلات النمو إلى أن الأنابينا شديدة الحساسية تجاه أشعة UV-B حيث لوحظ موت جميع الخلايا بعد التعريض لهذه الأشعة لمدة 150دقيقة، كما تبين تخرب أصبغة التركيب الضوئي وبشكل خاص الفيكوسيانين Phycocyanin لدى الخلايا الطحلبية بفعل تأثير الأشعة. كما لوحظ أن المحتوى البروتيني للخلايا ينخفض بشكل متزامن مع ازدياد فترة التعرض لهذه الأشعة.
The blue green-algae (cyanobacterium) Anabaena can fix a considerable amount of atmospheric nitrogen and convert it to ammonium (NH4) that can be used in protein synthesis and the food chain. This blue green-algae was isolated from a swamp near the city of Abha (Saudi Arabia) and was tested for the effects of ultraviolet radiation (UV-B: 280-315nm) on photosynthetic pigments, growth and protein contents. Growth patterns of the cells treated with UV-B revealed that Anabaena sp. was very sensitive to this radiation. Complete killing of all cells occurred after 150 min of UV-B exposure. Pigments content, particularly phycocyanin, severely decreased following UV-B irradiation in all cells tested. The protein contents of the cells treated with UV -B showed a remarkable decrease with increase in UV-B exposure time.
