تأثير نموذج نقل المعطيات في معدل الضياع وحجم الرتل
Abstract
يلعب نموذج نقل المعطيات دورا هاما في أداء الشبكات نظرا لتنوع الخدمات المقدمة من قبل شبكة الإنترنت لمستخدميها، إذ يتراوح معدل نقل الملف بين قيم صغيرة (mice) وقيم كبيرة (elephants) و يكون حجم الرزم بشكل نموذجي 10Kbytes. كما تُمثَل حجم الملفات المنقولة خلال الإنترنت بتوزيع Pareto .
يتلخص العمل في هذه المقالة من خلال دراسة تأثير (shape parameter(k)) لتوليد الملفات بأحجام مختلفة في نوعين من نماذج وصول الرزم هما: (Poisson) وتوزيع (Pareto) ، كما تظهر نتائج المقارنة من خلال حجم الرتل و معدل الضياع ، فكلما ازدات قيمة المعامل (k) سيزداد معدل الضياع بشكل كبيرفي حالة نموذج الوصول (Pareto) و بينما سيكون التأثير أقل في حالة نموذج الوصول (Poisson) .
The traffic model plays an important role in network performance due to the various services it provides for users. The average transferred file is around 10Kbytes; these files can be small (mice) or long (elephants). Pareto is considered as a typical distribution used to describe the file size. In this paper, we investigate the effect of the shape parameter on the average queue size and loss for different arrival distributions: Poisson and Pareto. For the Pareto model, the average loss increases with the increase in the value of the shape parameter, while the influence of the shape parameter is relatively smaller in the case of Poisson.
