Abstract

يسبب التعرض المزمن والطويل لغبار القطن حدوث تأثيرات تم التعرف عليها ووصفها سابقاً, وذلك من حيث الأعراض, الموجودات الشعاعية والتغيرات في وظائف الرئة.

لقد قمنا في دراستنا هذه بإجراء صورة صدر مع تحليل وظائف رئة وتحليل غازات دم شرياني لعينة  مؤلفة من مئة عامل من عمال الغزل  والذين مضى على وجودهم بالعمل مدة ثماني سنوات على الأقل وما فوق .

بينت الدراسة أن 28 عاملا (24منهم مدخنون ) كان لديهم نموذج ساد في اختبار وظائف الرئة لديهم, 7عمال منهم لديهم صورة صدر غير طبيعية .

4عمال (3منهم مدخنون ) كان لديهم نموذج حاصر مشارك مع ساد في اختبار وظائف الرئة لديهم, 3منهم لديهم صورة صدر بمظاهر تليفية .

Long and chronic exposure to cotton dust causes effects which were already known and described in symptoms, radiological findings, and changes in pulmonary function. In this study, we have made an arterial blood gases analysis, pulmonary function analysis, and chest X-rays  for one hundred  cotton workers with at least eight years' work experience, or more. This study has shown that 28 workers (24 of them being smokers) have an obstructive pulmonary function, 7 of whom have an abnormal chest X-ray. 4 workers (3 of them being smoking) have both an obstructive and restrictive pulmonary function, 3 of whom have fibrotic chest X-rays .
