دراسة تأثير بعض العوامل المؤهبة لظهور المبيضات البيض عند حاملي الأجهزة الكاملة
Abstract
يشكل استخدام الأجهزة التعويضية المتحركة عاملاً مهماً يمكن أن يؤثر على الفلورا الفموية، مؤدياً إلى تغيرات مرضية تسبب زيادة في نمو المبيضات البيض وتكاثرها. و من هنا كان الهدف من دراستنا هذه دراسة العلاقة بين هذه الأجهزة و مجموعة من العوامل الموضعية (الجنس، التدخين، عمر المريض، عمر الجهاز التعويضي، وضع الأجهزة في الفم أثناء النوم، تطهير الأجهزة الكاملة أو عدم تطهيرها) التي يمكن أن تؤثر على زيادة نمو المبيضات البيض في الفم. استخدمنا في دراستنا عينة عشوائية مكونة من (194) مريضاً حاملاً جهازاً كاملاً أكريلياً (107 ذكور – 87 أنثى)، وذلك بهدف دراسة انتشار المبيضات البيض عندهم. لقد تم تبيَّن تأثير كل من عمر المريض و عمر الجهاز التعويضي و التدخين و عدم تطهير الأجهزة على زيادة وجود المبيضات البيض ونموها في الفم، و كذلك وجد أن وضع الأجهزة في الفم أثناء النوم يزيد من تكاثر المبيضات البيض، كما أن اختلاف جنس المريض له تأثير مهم على انتشار المبيضات البيض.
The use of the complete dentures (CD) is an important factor that can affect the oral flora, which will lead to pathologic changes that can cause an increase in the growth of Candida Albicans (CA). Therefore, the aim of this research was to study the relation between the complete dentures (CD) and a group of local factors (Gender, Smoking, Age of the Patient and dentures, wearing the denture during sleep, denture hygiene) that may lead to an increase of CA in the mouth. A random sample of 194 patients wearing complete acrylic denture was used in this study to investigate the wide spread of CA. The study showed the influence of patient age, the age of the denture, and smoking and poor denture care in increasing the growth of CA. Furthermore, wearing of the denture during sleep increases the growth of CA. The gender of the patient also has an impact on the growth of CA.
