Abstract

The paper investigates the characteristics of slopes and their effects on special distribution of land use in Birghal doline and Al-Rabind doline, depending on remote sensing data and the ALOS PALSAR digital attitude model with 12.5m spatial resolution and a 1/50000 scale Topographical and Geological map of Qirdaha area.

The study resulted in preparing a number of comparable dedicated maps in the field of land use in accordance with the height factor, slope direction and the shape of the slope of Birghal doline and Al-Rebind doline, which is the cornerstone of any future project that aims at planning and developing the area.
