Abstract

Most electrical research is concerned with the frequent problems and faults that occur in the electrical system and its biases. However, there are rare types of malfunctions, but they have major harmful effects technically and economically, and the most important of these types of faults is the general blackout, as the research did not address this type of failure with sufficient analysis. Since the Syrian electrical network in the previous period has been subjected to several cases of blackout, therefore, in this research we will conduct an analytical study of the occurrence of the phenomenon of blackout and the role of reciprocating protections in mitigating the occurrence of this phenomenon, and we will also provide an optimal algorithm for the rehabilitation of the electrical system after the occurrence of the phenomenon of general blackout.
