تحديد المجالات الفيزيولوجية لقيم جهاز الفحص حول السني Periotest عند الشباب السوريين
Abstract
جهاز الفحص حول السني ((Periotestهو أداة الكترونية تسمح بالقياس الموضوعي لحالة الرباط حول السني.
إن الهدف من هذا البحث هو تحديد المجالات الفيزيولوجية الطبيعية لقراءات جهاز الفحص حول السني (PTV periotest values) لأسنان مجموعة من الشباب السوريين ومقارنتها بالقيم العالمية ودراسة تأثير كل من نوع وموقع السن والجنس عليها. المواد والطرق :حيث جرت الاختبارات على أسنان 160 شابا وشابة سوريين ممن يتمتعون بنسج حول سنية سليمة تراوحت أعمارهم بين 81 و24عاما (من طلاب كلية طب الأسنان). وقد تم ذلك بأخذ قراءات جهاز الفحص حول السني الـ Periotestوفق تعليمات الشركة المنتجة,حيث أظهرت النتائج قيما مختلفة لقراءات الجهاز الـ ( PTV periotest values) لهذه الأسنان , لذلك وجدنا أنه من الأفضل التعبير عن هذه القيم الفيزيولوجية كمجالات وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروقا في حدود هذه المجالات ترتبط بنوع السن وبموقع السن في الفك العلوي أو السفلي, كما لم نلحظ فوارق ذات دلالة إحصائية هامة تبعاً للجنس, وأظهرت هذه النتائج اختلافاً ملحوظاً مقارنة بالقيم والمجالات الفيزيولوجية المماثلة والمنشورة في الأبحاث العالمية لجهة انخفاض هذه القيم, ما يؤكد اختلاف الخصائص الإخمادية للنسج حول السنية حسب العرق وبالنتيجة أظهرت الدراسة أن الجهاز المستخدم يعتبر وسيلة بديلة لمراقبة حالة النسج حول السنية. كما أن المجالات الفيزيولوجية لقراءات جهاز الفحص حول السني تختلف بحسب نوع السن وموقعه, وبدرجة أقل حسب الجنس .
The Periotest is an electronic device that provides an objective measurement of the status of the Periodontium.
The main purpose of this research is to establish the normal physiological Periotest ranges )PTV periotest values( of the Syrian youth' teeth comparing to the ranges provided by the device manufacturing corporation. This was done in relation to tooth type, tooth position, gender and nation. The study was achieved on the teeth of 160 Syrian youth of both sexes (students of the Faculty of Dentistry) of 18-24 years old. The youth were chosen to have healthy periodontal tissues and imply with the manufacture instructions. The results show some variation in the PTV periotest values which led us to express the results as ranges instead of absolute values. In addition, a noticeable variation in these ranges were observed according the teeth type and tooth position on jaws. No significant gender difference was observed. The results revealed a noticeable decrease in the minimum and maximum values of the ranges, which means that the ranges had shifted towards teeth stability. This enforces the variations in the damping characteristics of the periodontium according to nation. We conclude that the Periotest is an effective screening instrument that offers an alternative method of periodontal monitoring. In addition, PTV periotest values vary according to tooth type, tooth position and nation, and to lower extent according to sex.
