The effects of educational loss after the Corona pandemic "A field study in basic education schools in the city of Latakia"
Abstract
The research aimed to reveal the extent of the continuing effects of the educational loss resulting from the Corona pandemic among learners of the basic education stage in the city of Latakia, and to identify in which areas these effects were most present: (cognitive - behavioral - social), and which educational materials still require compensation and in Any row. To achieve this goal, the descriptive approach was used, and the researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of (26) items distributed over the three fields, and the research sample included (223) male and female teachers for the academic year 2022/2023.
The research concluded with results, the most important of which are: the continued presence of effects of educational loss to a moderate degree in the three areas, the highest of which was in the behavioral field. No statistically significant differences appeared between the scores of teachers’ answers about the effects of educational loss according to the grade variable, and statistically significant differences were found between the scores of teachers’ answers about The effects of loss according to the academic subject variable. The results also showed the effects in the academic subjects according to the following order from most to least: (mathematics - social sciences - foreign language - religious education - Arabic language).
