دراسة تأثير حجم مخزن الموجِّه في أداء الشبكات
Abstract
تزداد فعالية استخدام الوصلة ويتناقص ضياع الرزم نتيجة الازدحام الحاصل على الوصلة المزدحمة، من خلال اختيار قيم لحجوم مخزن الموجِّه تتناسب مع حالة الشبكة.
وسندرس في هذا البحث القيم التي يمكن أن تأخذها حجوم هذه المخزنات بحيث تحقق متطلبات التخزين، وتأثير تغير حجم المخزن على زمن تأخير الرتل (Queue delay)، معدل ضياع الرزم (Packet drop)، فعالية استخدام الوصلة المزدحمة (Bottleneck Link Utilization). وسنستنتج العلاقة التي تربط معدل التدفق (Throughput) مع حجم مخزن الموجِّه.
For a given network, choosing appropriate values of router buffer size maintains high Link Utilization and reduces packet loss resulting from the congestion of bottleneck links. In this paper, we investigate the router buffer size required to satisfy buffering requirement. We also discuss the effects of buffer size on queue delay time, packet drop rate, bottleneck link utilization, and flow throughput.
