Abstract

Egypt and the Levant saw at the end of the eighth AH /14th century AD, a lot of strife and internal conspiracies driven by the personal ambitions of the princes in order to take over the throne of the Sultanate, but these temptations and rebellions in the Mamluk era took on the character of the ethnic conflict between the Turkish Mamluk and the Circassian Mamluks for Control of the Mamluk Sultanate, especially in the Sultanate of Dhahir, Barquq al-Awalah (784-791 AH / 1382-1389 AD), when one of these rebellions managed to oust him from the Sultanate in 791 AH / 1389 AD..
