Effect the Digital educational Stories in the Developing Listening Skill in Arabic language Among Sixth-Grade Students Basic Semi-Experimental Study in Schools of Tartous City

Abstract

The research aimed to at investigating the effect the digital educational stories in the developing listening skill  in Arabic language among sixth-grade students basic in schools of Tartous city. To achieve the objectives of the research the researcher adopted the semi-experimental approach, and the research sample consisted of (66) students, The sample was divided into two groups, the control group, consisted of (34) students, while the experimental group consisted of (32) students. The researcher has prepared the research tools which were: (listening skills test, observation card of listening skills), applied it’s in the academic year 2020/2021, after assured of the psychometric properties.

The researcher reached several results, the most important of which is:

  • There were statistically significant differences between the mean degrees of the students in the experimental group and the average of degrees the students in the control group in the direct post application of test listening skills, also on observation card of listening skills in Arabic language in favor of experimental group.
  • There were statistically significant differences between the mean degrees of the students in the experimental group in the pre and direct post application of test listening skills in Arabic language in favor of the direct post application.
  • There are no statistically significant differences between mean degrees of the experimental group's students in the post-application and in the delayed application of the test listening skills in Arabic language.
