Teaching vocational education in the basic education stage and its role in developing students’ attitudes towards secondary vocational education in Lattakia Governorate

Abstract

The research aimed primarily to explain the role of teaching vocational education at the basic education stage in developing students’ attitudes towards secondary vocational education in Lattakia Governorate.

The researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach in her study, and a set of methods, including relying on secondary and primary data through a questionnaire that was designed and distributed to (49) male and female teachers, from which (47) were retrieved, and (44) questionnaires were suitable for analysis, and the research community consisted of Male and female teachers in vocational schools in Latakia Governorate, then the SPSS program was relied upon as a tool for analyzing the available data.

The research reached a set of results, including:

There is a statistically significant effect at the level of significance (α ≥ 0.05) between vocational education curricula in the basic education stage and the development of students’ attitudes towards secondary vocational education in Lattakia Governorate.

There is a statistically significant effect at the significance level (0.05 ≥ α) between teaching vocational education at the basic education stage and developing students’ attitudes towards secondary vocational education in Lattakia Governorate..
