The Effect of an Artistic Activities based Program on at Giving Children Some Values of Citizenship - A Semi-Empirical Study in Tartous City

Abstract

The research  aims to identify the effect of artistic activities in giving kindergarten children between (5-6) years, some values of citizenship. Use the quasi-experimental approach. The research sample was included (42) boys and girls, from the kindergarten in Tartous city, divided into two groups: the experimental group made up of (20) boys and girls, and control group consistiny of (22) boys and girls, data was then collected and statistically analyzed: using the SPSS package, and the research reached the following results:

-There is statistically significant difference between the mean scores for the children of the experimental and control groups in the post-application to test the values of  citizenship in favor of the experimental group.

-There is statistically significant difference between the mean scores of children in the experimental group in the pre and post applications to test the values of  citizenship in favor of the post application.

- No statistically significant difference between the mean scores of male and female children of the experimental group in the post application to test the values of citizenship on the axis of

rights, while a difference was found on the axis of belonging to the homeland and the axis of

duties in favor of females.

The research also presented proposals, including: the necessity to include artistic activities

in kindergarten ideas and roles that help the child to practice the values of citizenship. Such

,as training him to exercise his rights and duties, and respect the rights of other children.
